  • main fields: polymer chemistry, design of functional polymer architectures and polymer materials, controlled radical polymerizations, ‘click' chemistry.
  • topical fields: ATRP, RAFT, cationic polymerization, step growth polymerization in combination with ‘click' chemistry, polymeric nano- and microparticles, stimuli-responsive polymers, polymeric solid supports for catalysts, shape memory polymers, polymer membranes, advanced copolymer structures (graft, brush, palm-tree, star-block, …), segmented polymer networks, dispersants.

  • >10 awards for oral and poster contributions on national and international conferences in period 2000-2008.
  • Laureate of DSM-award for Chemistry and Technology (1995)
